This was an exquisite evening, and the experience was entirely anchored by Boka's incredible team, offerings, and service. My Dad, husband and I were reuniting after some time apart, and everyone took beautiful care of us. Our pre-dinner drinks were stunning, with helpful guidance from both bartenders. Our tasting menu dinner experience was phenomenal, everything was beautiful and delicious. I wish I had caught our team member's name; he and our server Augusto went above and beyond with every single detail, making us feel like family! Our deepest thanks to them!

Perfect birthday dinner with my SO! The sweet corn tortelli was out of this world. Also, the restaurant is gorgeous and such a special vibe. Definitely recommend for a memorable dinner / intimate celebration. 😊 Oh, and they had happy birthday printed on the menu which was lovely!!!
A must dine restaurant! You really can’t go wrong with what you order. Everything is so intentionally flavorful and unique. The bluefin tuna tart was the perfect start. The duck breast.... Wow! And do not skip dessert. The pastry chefs are brilliant and bring together flavors you would never think of pairing. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is great and the staff are exceptional!
Ten years since our last visit (we live out of town now) and so glad we came back tonight. Boka is better than ever - food and service both top notch and we look forward to returning this time with less of a gap between visits!
Coming to Chicago for the 1st time, we chose to celebrate our anniversary at Boka and I am thankful we did. We were wished a Happy Anniversary by so many people on the staff. Our cozy, romantic corner booth was perfect. The service was close to perfect (it did start getting very busy towards the end of the evening). We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing and were left in awe of the lovely presentations, descriptions, and flavors. It was so nice to be told details of each plate, and have each wine explained with the reasoning behind the pairing.
Did a tasting, incredible attention to detail in the regular tasting. As well as a tasting my girlfriend with allergies. They handheld the dairy and gluten allergies perfectly. An absolute treat in the world of Michelin.
Amazing restaurant. The tasting menu did a good job making ingredients i didn't like taste good. Worth it for a special occasion. Not super filling, but extra bread is free. My server wws sensational and all of the people helping were attentive and quick. Minimum $500 spend with tasting so shoot for single entrees if you just want really good food and a full portion of the good food. They accommodated with the entire tasting menu to be vegetarian for my girlfriend ehichbwas really nice. I was seated facing the bar. Is why atmosphere took a hit.
Incredible experience with flavors and delicious food. Definitely a restaurant to go many times. Great young atmosphere, food tastes and precision.
Phenomenal tasting menu and Kevin, our waiter, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating which put the experience over the top. Highly recommend dining here if you are looking for a memorable night!
A spur of the moment tasting menu experience as a solo diner at the bar, and it was totally worth it. The non alcoholic pairing was remarkable, I was exposed to some things I’d never tried before. The bartenders were excellent, knowledgeable, and passionate and made the meal for me - at one point when I asked about what verjus actually tasted like and why they used it in a drink, they immediately poured me samples of both a white and a red to try. And oh yeah the food was great too! They are very nimble with their tasting menu at Boka clearly, with subtle changes even day to day.
Absolutely loved our experience at Boka! The Whole Roasted Dry Aged Duck was the highlight of the meal — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly unforgettable. The bread was also unique and delicious, especially paired with their special butter. The Black Truffle Chicken was another great dish, rich and full of flavor. For starters, we tried the Tartar, fish, and scallop dishes, and each one was creative, beautifully presented, and brought a unique experience. The service was excellent — attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable.
My husband and I ate at Boka in July 2026, and it was not bad, but not great either. Here are the things we liked and didn’t enjoy: Right when we got there we really liked the interior decor and the vibe. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be. However, later in the evening, one thing that became somewhat of an annoyance is the group of women sitting on the opposite side of the room (so not too close) that were so loud that it kinda ruined the mood.
