I gave 5 stars because my 10 year old grandson had a blast playing in the various attractions, the tires and corn pit were particular favorites. In fact, he was so active in the 3 1/2 hours we were there that he fell asleep on the 30 minute ride home. As a side note, the food area smelled incredible when we walked up, but the food was only okay. But, we didn't go there for the food, we went for the fun, and we weren't disappointed.
Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm
About Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm
Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm in Minooka is open daily through October 31, 2026, with a 25-acre U-pick patch of about 90 pumpkin, gourd and squash varieties. Daytime admission for ages 3 and up is $9 Monday to Thursday and $14 Friday to Sunday and covers the corn maze, farm animals, playgrounds and the walk to the U-pick patch, with the giant farm slide and hayrides added on the $14 days, while pre-picked pumpkins, mums and concessions need no admission. On select October evenings the farm runs a haunted corn maze ($25), a flashlight maze and moonlight hayrides ($6 each), or all three for $30. Its website says the pumpkin farm was established in 2001 on family land whose history it traces back more than 150 years, and that it has no carnival rides. Two of the eight Google reviews shown below fault the food, one for small portions or high prices and one for items running out.

Head over for fall fun without the crowds! Kevin Heap and his family are amazing people!
We love the atmosphere here! They have everything for you to get ready for spokey season! Even if spokey season isn’t your biggest thing, they defiantly make it feel like fall is here! There staff is also always very helpful and great to interact with! Eva was a great help and really made our last visit very special. We can’t wait to go back and get some peach bourbon BBQ sauce!
Such a fun and adorable experience for kids of all ages. We brought our 2 year old for the second year in a row. Plenty of playgrounds to climb on and burn energy. Several animals, even a cow! Wide variety of pumpkins available at the gate as well as in the patch just an enjoyable tractor ride away.
Listen, the place is awesome. You can't imagine what it's like to swim in a pool of corn until you've done it. The food and drink situation, however, is a little out of hand. Small portions or just overly expensive, it's priced beyond the convenience factor. You pay a premium to get in, then have to double down on snacks for the kids. Otherwise, just a fun place to go, explore, and be outside.
We had so much fun this was a great time for the family!! But the food was HORRIBLE... we had lunch at 12:30 and they were out of SO MUCH and then what they did have was really bad either soggy or hard a rock :-( it was very disappointing considering the cost of the food!! I suggest bringing in your own food because the rest of the experience was wonderful!!
We recently visited this small local farm, and it was a wonderful experience for our family. The admission price was reasonable, and the kids had an excellent time. They especially loved the large slide, along with the other smaller slides, the corn maze, and the pumpkin patch. The hay ride was also a highlight of our visit. While it may not be as large as some other farms we have been to, it provides a fantastic environment for children to have fun and explore. We highly recommend it for a great day out with the kids.
Phenomenal job on their haunted corn maze!! The 15 min hayride was also very enjoyable and relaxing. The flashlight corn maze was a great idea too! 10/10 would recommend!
