Sergey M. Kachar, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Arlington Heights. He focuses on hip and knee replacement, including repair, reconstruction, and minimally invasive techniques, along with arthroscopy and musculoskeletal trauma. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Midwestern University and an adult orthopedic reconstruction fellowship at the University of Chicago. He joined Northwest Orthopedic Surgery, S.C. in 2007 and speaks Russian.
Dr. Kachar was my surgeon for my knee replacement, Before surgery he carefully explained what would happen and what to expect, He patiently answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. 8 weeks after surgery I am well on my way to total recovery. I could not have asked for a better surgeon.
Alway great getting my gel shots from Dr Kachar who makes it painless. I think he's a great surgeon and docter.

Dr. Kachar is the best. I am a patient of his and I fell & injured my hip. I went into the office as a walk-in and was slated to see another doctor. When Dr. Kachar found out it was me, he saw me right away and gave me the treatment I needed. I am so grateful for Dr. Kachar and the entire staff at IBJI. They are a stellar practice and always put the patient care first which isn't always the situation in today's environment.
No matter when how and what time I go there the staff is amazing. Dr. Karchar is always available for questions. Just love this place and the people they're so transparent.
