How the firm charges

Ask for the fee agreement in writing, and read it before you sign. If the firm works on a contingency fee, ask what share of any recovery it takes, and who pays case expenses such as filing fees and expert witness fees, whatever the outcome.

Who handles your case

Ask which lawyer will be responsible for your case day to day, how you will be kept informed, and how quickly the firm returns calls and messages.
