The order follows the rating snapshot on each listing and then the number of reviews behind it, and the review count sits beside every rating.

How do I choose a primary care doctor?
Ask whether the physician is taking new patients, whether the practice is in network for your plan, who you will see at each visit, and how you reach the practice when you are sick. A rating says how reviewers felt about a visit, not whether a physician is right for you. Questions to ask before you book:
Who you will see
Ask whether your visits will be with the physician, a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner, and whether the physician is board certified, and by which board. The American Board of Family Medicine’s website lets you check a physician’s certification status with that board, and in Illinois a physician’s license can be checked with the license lookup on the website of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
New patients and insurance
Ask whether the physician is accepting new patients, whether the practice is in network for your insurance plan, and whether it charges any membership or annual fee in addition to what your plan pays.
Reaching the practice
Ask how soon you could be seen when you are sick, how the practice handles calls after hours, and which hospital or specialists it usually refers patients to.
