I picked this restaurant based on Google Maps reviews before a visit to Second City Main Stage. First, the service was incredible, I wish I remembered my server's name. I was warmly welcomed by the hostess as well. The food quality was top notch. The restaurant and neighborhood had a lively energetic vibe but was not loud or chaotic. I'd be very happy to visit Kamehachi again on another trip to Chicago.

We stopped in here after a concert around 11pm and let me tell you this place has some of the best service, best vibes, best food ive ever had. We got an order of eggplant fries… best thing with evgplant ive ever tasted. Ae ended up ordering three eggplant fries servings so definitely start with that. The beer and sake selection was deeeeeep foreign, and excellent. Also has hotshots and some mixers. Sushi was the main course mostly and it was all soooooooo dank as well. Had multiple servings. Reccomend the neon dragon for sure. The vibes are also off the chain. It looked almost closed but we walked in anyway and glad we did because it was poppin but laid back. nice indoor/outdoor patio area in the summer/fall. Food and drinks both came super fast even tho we ordered ALOT. Finally, last but NOT LEAST, the service was friendly, knowledgeable and impeccable. Emily or elizabeth (sorry i forgot my bad) but it definitely started with an E. She was amazing and very nice. Thats about it, best sushi in chi town for sure.✌️
rich was an amazing server. very sweet and kind
rock shrimp, crispy tuna, and edamame were all great bites during happy hour. i think some menu items are less exciting but still worth it if you know what to order
Not sure how I've gone by this place for so long and not gone it, but it was FANTASTIC
