We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Would recommend and come back! The GOOD: We LOVED the octopus dish - good flavor nice texture. - The grilled lamb chops were so tender - although it’s a bit sweet forward. - The beef tongue is good texture too - I wish there’s a bit extra salt. - The salmon sashimi is so fresh, thick slice. The OK: the hamachi was very fresh, but the white sauce was ok - the spicy tuna roll was good, but a bit overpriced - the toro nigiri is ok, the fish is kind of thin and the flavor does not come through with the rice We noted anniversary celebration in our reservation and received a pair of matcha puffs for dessert. The matcha cream was so good. I do not recommend sitting at the counter - although it’s cool to watch chefs making sushi, the whole time I can smell a faint fishy smell. Other than this I don’t have other complaints!

Excellent food. The most attentive service I’ve had in a long time. Great, upscale vibe and atmosphere, I loved seeing into both kitchens. A perfect place for a special occasion!

What an absolute lifesaver of an experience! My friend and I are in Chicago celebrating our birthdays and for the BTS Arirang Tour concert, and we made a lunch reservation at Momotaro. However, due to some last-minute meeting reschedules, we had to frantically race all the way across town from the St. Regis Hotel, barely making it before last call around 1:45 PM. Honestly, they could have easily turned us away or kicked us out the door for cutting it so close, but instead, the friendly front desk staff greeted us with warm smiles. Their professionalism was truly top-tier. They seated us closer to the kitchen so we could quickly get our food orders in before the kitchen wrapped up, but they never made us feel rushed for a single second. The restaurant itself is stunning—so warm, cozy, and whimsical, setting the perfect ambiance for a celebration. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and patient, giving us plenty of time to browse the menu despite our rushed arrival. We started our birthday feast with the **scorched shishito peppers**, perfectly topped with Kewpie mayo, bonito flakes, and a refreshing touch of lemon juice. The flavor was spot on! Next, we shared the **tea smoked duck**, which was absolute heaven. For my main, I ordered the lunch portion of the **chirashi**, and the fresh, premium seafood selection was astonishingly generous for the price—I honestly couldn't believe it. To top it all off, when we finished eating, our waiter surprised us with a little complimentary birthday treat on the house! I completely love this kind gesture and thoughtful touch. Sincere apologies again to the team for running so late, and thank you so much for accommodating us with such grace. I would love to return on my next visit to Chicago to try out their dinner menu! This is definitely a BTS approved place! Lol!

Had dinner and ordered a mix of nigiri plus the beef tsukune and some chicken dumplings. Fish was fresh and the rice was seasoned right. Tsukune had good flavor with the soft egg and the dumplings were solid. Downstairs izakaya vibe is cool if you want something more casual. Service was on point.

The vibes are what you come for. Paid over $300 for 2 people since we had 2 rounds of drinks. The fish was fresh and robata (especially chicken thigh and steak) were soo good. However, I almost never send dishes back but their "curry pasta" is literally a tiny bowl of spaghetti noodles in MAYO that has curry powder. It tastes sour and absolutely disgusting and our waitress happily took it off the bill. Please reconsider this item being on the menu. Aside from that, it's definitely a special occasion splurge meal but was quite enjoyable.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. Alex was our server and she was great and very attentive. Food was delicious and there was a lot of vegetarian options for my cousin. I got two delicious mocktails and I will definitely come back because I want to try more of the menu!
